Sage Intacct 2022 R1 Release Highlights and Feature Demos

Sage Intacct 2022 R1 is here and has a lot of new highlights and features ranging from improved payment processes to automation capabilities! Read on to gain deeper insight on all of the new updates as well as what’s to come in the future of Sage Intacct.

Core Release Highlights

Vendor Payments powered by CSI (General availability)

Vendor Payments powered by CSI is now available to all US companies. This allows users to pay vendors directly from Sage Intacct and streamline their vendor payment process making things smoother.

GL Outlier Assistant

With the new Outlier Assistant, all organizations can now benefit from greater accuracy given by GL Outlier Detection. The Outlier Assistant functions as an approver to speed up transaction processing and can even be set up to be the only approval for certain journals.

Financial Report Writer notations support

There’s a new tab in the Financial Report Writer: Notations.

Notations adds a column to every report that allows report makers to add text that explains, clarifies, or improves what’s in the report columns. Adding a note to an account activity can help ensure that the purpose for the activity is apparent.

Creation rules automatically create journal entries from a bank feed (Early adopter)

You can now create journal entry transactions in Sage Intacct to match incoming bank transactions using a new type of rule. This saves you time and eliminates the need for manual data entry. For instance, you might want to write journal entries for bank fees and daily deposits automatically.

Reclassify approved and posted journal entries

As long as the period is open, companies using GL Approvals can now reclassify journal transactions that have been approved and posted. Reclassify allows you to make quick changes to journal entries that have already been published.

Expanded import for AR payments

You can now import customer payments in bulk, saving you the time and trouble of entering each payment individually. Input payment data using the CSV import template, then import it into Intacct. Each file can include up to 5,000 lines. Before you import payments, double-check the concerns. Reversal in bulk is currently unavailable.

AP Bill Automation (Early adopter)

Sage Intacct is excited to roll out a time-saving AP Bill Automation feature to early adopters, over the next few months. AP Bill Automation automates the bill creation process by converting vendor-provided bills into Sage Intacct bills. After AP Bill Automation has processed the bill, all that will be left for you to do is to review and post.

Industry Highlights

Contract renewal forecasting

In addition to billing, revenue, and payment data, you can now forecast contract renewal data. Decision-makers may examine what is currently booked and what is projected to be booked in the future. Build visual reports that illustrate booked and forecast value using the Interactive Custom Report Writer or Interactive Visual Explorer, or use the Customer Report Writer to export the data for use with your preferred planning tool.

Track grant information

You can now enable new project fields to track your organization’s grant details and restrictions with this release. These new project fields make it easier for you to keep correct grant records and generate reports based on them.

Enhanced inventory inquiry in items

Instead of running and reading reports, you can now instantly see the sales orders that require an item, the purchase orders that have been issued for an item, and the in-transit warehouse transfers that are now being processed for an item.

Construction enhancements for improved insight

Create a PDF of your project change order to print or email to your internal or external contacts.
Create Purchasing change orders using the transaction currency and exact exchange rate from the source order document.
